We all wish that we could buy our children everything they want and need, but unlike celebrities, not all of us have the means to do so. Below is a list of celebrities that have spent a ridiculous amount of money on gifts for their children.

When Sir Elton’s son, Zachary, was just 8 years old, he went out and bought him a £1.3M apartment in LA. The house was completely kitted out with around the clock nannies, and also turned into a nursery. The Daily Mail have reported that Elton and his husband David lived just next door in their own apartment. They have both since welcomed another son, Elijah.

Cardi B decided to gift her daughter, Kulture, with a diamond necklace that featured certain characters from Netflix’s Word Party – one of Kulture’s favourite shows. It has been stated that this necklace cost $100,000 and if that isn’t enough money to spend, her father bought her a $8,000 designer bag from Hermes.

Kylie had revealed via snapchat that her ex-boyfriend and father of Stormi, Travis Scott, had bought their four year old daughter diamond rings that are matching mother and daughter rings. They are cut from pear shaped diamonds and supposedly worth over £2M. However, even though this might be excessive, it isn’t the first expensive present bought for Stormi, and it won’t be the last. Stormi has a whole handbag selection which is worth over $20,000. 

Kim Kardashian 

Kim spent $65,625 on one of Michael Jackson’s jackets for her and Kayne West’s daughter, North. There was a bidding war over it, but as long as their daughter was happy, that’s all that mattered. They just wanted to impress their daughter, who was 8 at the time. Kim took to Instagram to explain, “North is a really big Michael Jackson fan, and we knew she would love this.” 

Beyonce 

When Blue Ivy turned one, Beyonce and husband Jay-Z decided to really splash out on a $80,000 diamond encrusted Barbie.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith reportedly spent $2 million on their son Jaden’s 16th birthday party, which included a performance by Kanye West.
