A girl soon appeared to join the group. Rushing through the route. She had made it look easy but at the end didn’t hold the final hold for the whole 5 seconds. The woman’s boyfriend was quick to call the girl out on it.
Joke
He said that holding the last hold for 5 seconds is supposed to be the “right way” of finishing the route. But it was evident that the girl easily could have done this, as she blasted through. The girl laughed at him. Telling him he didn’t even start the problem correctly and walked off.
Salty
Her boyfriend was obviously embarrassed that she did it when he couldn’t. Explaining his hostile behavior towards her. Along with his unnecessary comments about her not finishing the route “correctly”.
High Five
As the girl was walking towards her, she gave the girl a high five. Not because of her joke. But because she had done an amazing job at doing the problem. She was surprised but gave her a high five back.
Silent Treatment
Upon seeing their high five exchange her boyfriend gave her a certain look. With annoyance being apparent on his face. He wouldn’t talk to her for the rest of that night at the gym.
Rant
On the way home, her boyfriend began ranting that she couldn’t be trusted to watch his back. This is because she supposedly chose a stranger’s side over his.
Nitpick
She was shocked about his behavior. Confused as to why that’s what he took from the climb. She told him that he shouldn’t have nitpicked her when she climbed it correctly to begin with. He got mad at her arguing that she was supposed to take his side over the side of people she doesn’t know.
Concerns
The account has since been deleted, so there was never an update regarding this situation. However there were a lot of comments on the post raising concerns about her boyfriend’s behavior. Warning her that his personality may extend to other areas of life and not a good prospect. Especially commenting on his seemingly controlling behavior.
