It’s no secret that celebrities often exhibit unique habits and lead unconventional lifestyles, which is why many of us invest countless hours scouring the internet and devouring magazines. Yet, when it comes to celebrity mothers, there are instances where they’ve engaged in peculiar post-birth behaviors.

Even though this might not be the most uncommon trend, it definitely had a few people’s stomachs turning. When she decided to transfer her baby from milk to solids, Alicia would chew her son’s food for him before transmitting it to him from her mouth, to his. She was obviously criticized for this behavior, and in turn, defended herself by saying, “I can understand that it would make some people feel uncomfortable, but I do want to let you know that this has been going on for thousands of years – still going on all over the place – and it’s natural.

After the death of her son, Jett, in 2009 from a seizure, Kelly fell pregnant at the age of 47. She had opted for a silent birth, which is a scientology practice. Kelly said, “Silent birth is basically just no words, as much as possible. If you need to moan, if you cry out, you know, all of that of course, that’s normal.” You basically just reduce as much noise as possible, including noise from doctors and nurses.

Gisele Bundchen once revealed in a 2018 interview with People that she used her breast milk as a remedy for various situations, such as putting it in her children’s eyes if they had irritation and administering it in their noses before flights to combat bacteria. Additionally, Gisele employed the elimination communication method to potty train her son, starting the process when he was just 6 months old, carrying him and placing him on the toilet after breastfeeding sessions, a technique that appeared to work effectively.

Kate Hudson embraces a gender-neutral parenting style when it comes to raising her daughter, Rani. In a 2019 interview with AOL, the actress emphasized the importance of raising children as individuals, without strict gender norms, stating, “I think you just raise your kids individually regardless — like a genderless [approach].”

She went on to explain, “We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as. I will say that, right now, she is incredibly feminine in her energy, her sounds, and her way. It’s very different from the boys, and it’s really fun to actually want to buy kids’ clothes.”

Mayim is a firm believer of “attachment parenting” which means that she didn’t feed any of her children solid food until they were 12 months old, she breastfed one son until he was 4, she believes that you should never have a babysitter and encourages baby-led weaning and co-sleeping.

The actress best known for her part in the Twilight movies, decided that she wanted to really cherish her time with her new son Bodhi, that she had with actor Ian Somerhalder. Whilst she was pregnant, she told Fit Pregnancy and Baby magazine that she would be taking a whole month of silence after the birth. This meant that she declined all visitors, didn’t engage in any social media and didn’t even have her phone with her.

Madonna is actually quite a strict parent, which, from her boundary pushing lyrics in music, you might not believe. Madonna decided to have all four of her children on a hard-core, organic, macrobiotic diet which means no preservatives, sweets, salt, chocolate, and dairy. There is to be no TV or newspapers and Lourdes (her eldest) didn’t have a phone until she was 16.

She stated, “We’re art collectors, there are a lot of female nudes around the house. Max will be growing up in a house where it’s the norm.” Aguilera and Bateman enjoy “naked Sundays” where she cooks dinner naked.
